    RULES OF SHOW

  1. All entry fees must be paid before the exhibit will be allowed in the ring
  2. No e-mail or telephone entries will be accepted. 
  3. Animals and property will be considered as being in the exhibitors charge at all times.  
  4. Children and dogs must be supervised at all times.
  5.  It is a condition of entry that the exhibitor will hold the Greater Manchester Show organisers blameless and will indemnify them against  any legal proceedings or compensation for damages arising out of or in consequence of or in connection with such claim, loss, accident or damage. Entries are accepted only on the understanding and acceptance of this rule.
  6. The show reserves the right to postpone alter cancel divide or combine classes without notice.
  7. Any objection must be lodged in writing with the fee of £25.00 with the event organiser, Mr Barrie Worthington, within 30 minutes of the end of the class. The fee will be forfeit should the objection be unfounded.
  8. Any exhibit considered not to be under adequate control will be asked to leave the ring.
  9. Spurs must not be worn in any class
  10. Show canes/whips not to exceed 75cm.
  11. Hard hats to the approved BSI standard must be worn at all times when mounted. 
  12. Ridden animals must be four years and over.
  13. Riders must have attained their 3rd birthday on the day of the show.
  14. Lead rein ponies, first ridden, equitation, all novice classes and prelim 18 must be ridden in a plain snaffle.
  15. The judges decision is final.
  16. Stallions are to be handled/ridden by competitors 16 years and over on the day of the show and should be shown in a bridle this includes 2 and 3 year old colts.
  17. All persons 15 years of age and under must wear head protection in in hand classes, including novelty.
  18. The show expects all exhibitors to have their own third party insurance.
  19. Any person [s] on the show ground who is acting in an unfit or abusive manner towards other competitors, spectators, judges, secretary, officials or animals will be asked to leave the show ground and no entry fee will be refunded.
  20. The show is a charity show to raise funds for the Air Ambulance.
  21. The Greater Manchester Horse Show has signed up to support the zero tolerance initiative as set out in rule 12a and 12b of The Midland Association of Riding Clubs rule book. Any such abuse will be reported to Midarc.
